Miscellaneous Education Experience:
NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh, NC: Coordinator, Exhibit Hall Experiences 2022-2024 (retired) Created and provided classes, cart exhibition experiences for thousands of Museum visitors/year — all ages and demographics; Supervised and mentored college and high school interns in learning informal science education techniques and public communication skills. Participated in numerous committees to explore grant and funding opportunities, collaborations with industry and universities, and how to revamp programs for the public engagement and entertainment.
NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh, NC: Science Class, Programs, and Activities Development and Delivery 2012 – 2022: Creation, development and delivery of weekday science classes for public and home-school groups, especially at the Middle and High school levels and deliver programs for private groups, and mixed age public groups on Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings. As co-manager of the Micro World Investigate Lab, duties also include running the room, overseeing volunteers, inventory upkeep, and stock maintenance of microorganisms, protozoans, aquatic vertebrates and invertebrates, plants, fungi, and plankton for use in classes and room activities.
