Here is an article that quotes a Smithsonian bird expert as stating the large bird deaths around the country and world are not necessarily surprising or concerning. The author proceeds to offer different possibilities for what happened and why these events are probably not related or cause for worry. Whether you agree or disagree, it is an interesting read, and the author does raise the issue that humans have a penchant for pattern-finding, except many times the “patterns” aren’t ones, and the “connections” don’t exist. I share here for a different point of view.
